Who Should Replace Rosie?
Are you sitting down? Rosie O'Donnell is leaving "The View." We're not sure how we'll be able to continue watching the daytime hen party without Star Jones or Rosie O'Donnell. They were forces to be reckoned with. Joy Behar is great and all, but she's just a severe downpour. Jones and O'Donnell were hurricanes, baby. So we're unleashing our five Rosie replacements who might help "The View" weather this storm.
Mary Poppins. Synergy, people. "The View" is on ABC, which is owned by Disney. And next to housewives, what TV-watching demographic is at home during the day? Kids! And you know how much they love witchy British nannies. We'd love to hear what she thinks about gun control.
Ivanka Trump. This one is all about equal time. Rosie was able to freely diss The Donald during their feud, and he never had an opportunity to respond on "The View." Daughter Ivanka could be huuuuge, bringing some class and distinction to the show — and a table made entirely of gold for the ladies to sit around!
Kathy Griffin. Rosie is leaving big shoes to fill. She was a firestartin' comedian who was unafraid to shush the other hosts and even guests. She said things that made people blush. She defended Clay Aiken. Kathy could do all that, although we're not sure she could hold Danny Devito in her lap.
Meredith Vieira. Let's just call that "Today" show thingie an extended vacation, mmkay?
Bob Barker. Who has more daytime TV experience than him? The show has always lacked a male perspective behind the table. Bob could be the male Barbara Walters. After he retires from "Price is Right" in June, he'll have plenty of free time to discuss some Hot Topics. We already know he feels strongly about controlling the pet population.
Ha!!! I vote for Ivanka and Bob Barker! ... Great post. I get ALL my news from The Slug! More "Friday Night Lights," pleeease. ;)
